There are several different approaches you could take to organising your school or class’ involvement...whichever route you choose remember that the overall goal is for your children to donate a pound for every poem they write.
Each school will then judge the entries and choose one winner from each year group to enter into our national competition.
On this website you can:
“The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in ‘Pound a Poem’. It was fun giving fruit and vegetables a voice which really stretched the children’s imagination. Winning was a huge surprise and a great delight to everyone in the school.
We are pleased to support the charity ‘Rays of Sunshine’ this year who work so hard to grant the wishes of children who are living with serious or life-threatening illnesses. Thank you “Pound a Poem” for all your hard work.’
